Robert K. Taylor, 70, of Newton, West Virginia, died Sunday, December 20, 2015 at home.
He was born February 25, 1945, at Spencer, a son of the late Franklin Kenneth and Irene Virginia Wilson Taylor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Richard Wilburn.
Robert was a retired employee of FMC Corp., South Charleston. He was a member of the Linden Lodge No. 83, A.F. & A.M. and the Newton Baptist Church. A 1963 graduate of Spencer High School, he attended Marshall University and graduated from West Virginia State College.
Survivors include his wife, Maureen; two daughters, Sheri Case of Smyrna GA and Amy Mukhija of Clarksburg MD; a son, Brian Taylor of Mishawaka IN; three grandchildren, Kendall, Ajay and Emma; a stepdaughter, Kimberly Cope of San Jose CA; a stepson, Steve Wilburn of Los Angeles CA; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Marilee Lewis of Huntington WV and Janet Anderson of Indianapolis IN; a brother, John H. Taylor of Spencer.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 23 at the Newton Baptist Church, Newton, with the Rev. Ronald W. Fisher officiating. Burial, with Masonic graveside rites, will be in the Ogden Cemetery, Uler.
The family will receive friends from noon until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
