| Shirley Ann Hinton Shannon, 81, of Arnoldsburg, WV passed away at her home on Sunday, December 13, 2015.
She was born in Mononga, WV on May 1, 1934; a daughter of the late Wilber and Lola May Hinton.
She attended Mononga High School and Warren Business College. She was a member of Community Baptist Church, Grantsville, WV. She enjoyed canning, quilting, and teaching Sunday School and Bible School. She was very active in missions for several years resulting in several churches being started.
She is survived by husband, Robert Shannon; 5 children, Larry, Gail, Kathy, Gene, and Robert; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Helen, Elsi, and Elen.
Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, WV on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Randy Tate officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Eventide Cemetery, Spencer, WV.
