| The Calhoun Commission gave permission this week to a Gloryland Pictures/Culdee Productions to use county locations and facilities for a faith-based motion picture titled "The Publication."
Eric Benson of Cairo said the film is scheduled for shooting in June and July, 2016.
The film, written by Culdee Productions, is centered on a mysterious publication that is revealing secrets in town. One man works to prevent future revelations, while one woman struggles to escape her past.
Parts of the film will be shot at Underwood Field, the Calhoun County Park, Heritage Village, the Circuit Court chambers and the courthouse parking lot.
