| Doris Marie Burdette, 85 of Spencer, West Virginia was born December 22, 1929 and died December 10, 2015 at the Roane General Hospital.
She is survived by children and in-laws, Loretta Sue and Gary Alvis, Nora Jane and James David (Bud) Bowman, Paul DeWayne and Connie Burdette, and Cathy Burdette all of Spencer; 9 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Naomi "Bet" Wright of Reedy, West Virginia; brothers, Paul and Freda Taylor of Spencer, and John "June" and Diane Taylor of Grantsville, West Virginia; and ex-sister-in-law and friend, Naomi "Toots" Taylor of Spencer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Burdette; son, Bobby Ray Burdette, Jr.; great-daughter Harley Rae Keith; and parents John and Nora Matics Taylor.
She was a Gram and special friend to many. All of them will always remember her biscuits and gravy.
Service will be at 2:00p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Rev. Larry Greathouse officiating. Burial will follow in the Eventide Cemetery in Spencer. Visitation is two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
