| Jean Salisbury, 80, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Sunday, December 6, 2015 in the Roane General Hospital, Spencer.
She was born February 11, 1935 in Wood County, a daughter of the late Amos N. and Amanda Rachel Edgell Tennant.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Wilbur Salisbury; one granddaughter, Jennifer Salisbury Longfellow; one brother, Sonnie Jim Tennant; one sister, Joann LeMasters Mayle.
Mrs. Salisbury was a retired employee of the Spencer Hospital. She was a member of the Gilboa Baptist Church, Reedy and the Red Hat Society.
Survivors include three daughters, Connie Ellison of Reedy WV, Kathy Jurkovich of Spencer and Carol Ann Salisbury of New York; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 10 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Larry Greathouse officiating. Burial will be in the Good Hope Cemetery, Reedy. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
