ORIGINAL STORY - A small fire at the Sand Fork Elementary School in Gilmer County is under investigation.
The state Fire Marshal's office was called out to Sand Fork Elementary Friday after the local fire department put out the flames at around 6 p.m. Thursday.
Students were in class Friday morning, according to the Gilmer County Board of Education.
More information is expected at the conclusion of the investigation.
The school is one of Gilmer's rural schools slated for closure and consolidation. |
