In the confusing world of testing and rating schools, Calhoun High
School continues to improve, compared to other schools in 2014-15 data, moving up to 56 out of 116
public high schools in West Virginia, according to the SchoolDigger, a
website that rates schools nationwide, using data submitted by
departments of education.
While data presents a conflicted picture, Calhoun Superintendent of Schools Tim Woodward said, "Overall I am so pleased with our schools and the community support they have. I am excited that the hard work of our students, teachers, and staff is evidenced by our performance."

Virginia Department of Education showed Calhoun High School juniors
with only 7% proficiency in math, with most of the scoring low, including low scoring in the state's schools, particularly in math and science.
