| Calhoun's Cabot Recycling is facing closure with the cancellation of a 99-year lease by Dominion Resources.
Five hundred people have signed the on-line petition to save the center, most of them pleading with Dominion Resources to donate the land to continue their invaluable contribution to the community and region.
Readers are still encouraged to sign the petition.
Petitions are available at local stores and other locations.
The petition requests Dominion Resources to donate the land to Cabot Recycling Station for the community, or uphold the 99 year lease.
