The mystery has been solved.
An unnatural luminescence appeared at the grave site of William H. Kerby (1800-1881), early settler of the Hur and Barnes Run section of Calhoun County, whose remains repose in the Hur Cemetery, tiny angel lights twinkled in the night darkness, was a mystery to be solved.
Kerby's great-grandson, David Kirby, author of Pine Creek Tales, says he was only wanting to honor his long-gone relative, saying he has never been given his due.
Kirby had placed the solar powered lights on the grave, with neighbors close to the cemetery saying they were sort of eerie for Halloween.
