Rexroad Crowned First Molasses Festival Queen
A new "Old Tradition" was begun August 22 when Abby Rexroad was selected to be the First WV Molasses Festival Fairs & Festivals Queen.
Rexroad began her reign September 24 when she was introduced at the Opening Ceremonies of the WV Molasses Festival where the theme is "Old Traditions.".
Rexroad is the daughter of Misty and Monty Arnold of Sand Ridge and Frank and Andrea Rexroad of Heaters, WV.
She is a Senior student at Calhoun Middle-High School and plans to attend Glenville State College after graduation.
Also crowned was Rachelle White of Ritchie, WV, as the WV Molasses Festival Teen Queen.
Rachelle is the daughter of Chris and Sabrina White.
The WV Molasses Festival Pre-Teen Queen is Ashlyn Donohew of Ripley. Ashlyn is the daughter of Anthony and Angela Donohew. She attends Ripley Middle School and is in the sixth grade.
The Jr. Royalty Princess is Natalie Donohew of Ripley. Natalie is the daughter of Dustin and Tabitha Donohew and is in the fourth grade at Evans Elementary School.
The pageant was held at the Arnoldsburg Community Building with Kelli Collins of Stumptown, WV, as Director.

Queen Rexroad and her court will be featured on a Queen's Float in the Molasses Festival Parade Saturday, which will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Arnoldsburg Elementary School.
