Jared (Jerry) McCroskey, 83 years old, of Smithville, W.Va, passed away at the VA Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA on September 16, 2015.
He was born in Wirt County and was the son of the late Burton and Goldie (Mills) McCroskey of Elizabeth W.Va.
He served in the Air Force and was a very proud veteran. He retired from Troy Mills in Harrisville, W.Va.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Carolyn (Jones) McCroskey; three children, Brian McCroskey (Lynn Ellis) of New Cumberland, W.Va., Jared (Belinda) McCroskey II of Ellenboro, W.Va., Charles (Michelle) McCroskey of Smithville; eight grandchildren, Brittany, Nick, Jared (J.T), Alyssa, Olivia, Tristan, Zack, Holly; one great-grandchild Kohen; one sister, Janice Jones of Harrison County, W.V.; one brother Burton McCroskey of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and his loving dog Smokey.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the Smithville Community building on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015 at 2 p.m.
