RANDOLPH SHOOTING - A man suffered multiple gunshot wounds in Randolph County early Friday morning at a residence along Valley Fork Road.
David Raines Jr., 42, was allegedly shot during a conversation by 37-year-old Jesse James Copen. Copen then fled the scene in a vehicle.
Raines was airlifted to Ruby Memorial Hospital by EMS, in stable condition with three gunshot wounds.
Copen has not been located and remains on the loose. Police continue to search for him in multiple locations.
MOOREFIELD MURDER - Police said the boyfriend of a slain West Virginia teacher has shot and wounded himself in Virginia.
Moorefield Police Chief Steven Reckart told media outlets that the body of Moorefield Middle School teacher Joy Coby, 45, was found Wednesday morning near her home in Moorefield.
Police went to check on Coby after she failed to appear for work.
Police began searching for Coby's boyfriend, Jared D. Connors, 47, who lived with her. He was tracked by his cell phone to near Staunton, Va.
Police said Connors shot himself inside Coby's car in the parking lot of a Walmart in Staunton as a Virginia State Police trooper approached him.
Reckart said Coby was in critical condition at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
CHARLESTON ARMED ROBBERY -
Metro 911 dispatchers say police responded to an armed robber at a Charleston pharmacy.
It happened at the CVS on Oakwood Road about 8:30 p.m. Friday, dispatchers said.
Dispatchers said a man wearing a camouflage mask, black hoodie and black pants walked into the pharmacy and pulled out a gun.
The suspect demand prescription drugs and did get away with some drugs.
Police said the suspect is described as a white male, the man fleeing.
