Mable Clara Bennett, 94, of Grantsville, West Virginia, died Tuesday, November 26 at Minnie
Hamilton Health Care Center. She had been a resident of long term care for 5 years.
Born in Calhoun County, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Roxie Blosser Connolly.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grantsville, Order of the Eastern Star,
American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and the Rebekah's all of Grantsville. She owned and operated Bennett's Nursing Home on Hathaway Street in Grantsville for many
years.
Surviving are one son, Reed Bennett of Elyria, Ohio; two sisters, Grace Nichols of Grantsville
and Frankie Mowery of Creston, WV; one brother, Roy Connolly of Davisville, WV; seven
grandchildren; four step grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and four great great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Bennett; daughter, Reeva Boggs; a
son; seven sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 30 at 11 a.m. at Stump Funeral Home,
Grantsville. Rev. Robert Nicholas will officiate. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
