Harry T. Harper, 87, of Spencer, West Virginia, died November 24, 2002, in Roane General Hospital, Spencer.
He was born June 14, 1915, at Advent, Jackson County, a son of the late Eppie and Ora Gibson Harper. He was a retired
employee of the WV Department of Highways and a retired farmer. He was a member of the Wolfe Valley Baptist Church,
Ryan.
Survivors include daughters, Lola Holley of Gallipolis, Ohio, and Lorene Hackney of Gandeeville, WV; six sons, Okey Harper
of Cleveland, Ohio, David Harper of Kenna, WV, Raymond Harper and Gary Harper, Sr. both of Spencer, Steven Harper
of Gandeeville and Jerry Harper of Flatwoods, WV; 31 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary A. Parsons, Harper on November 24, 1994; sons
Darrell and James Daniel Harper; grandson, Jeffrey William Harper; brothers, Arnie and Loonie; sisters, Mabel, Maggie, Cloy
and Molly.
A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, November 27, at 1 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home,
Spencer, with Rev. Arnold Shaffer officiating. Burial will be in the Jordon Cemetery, Advent. Friends may call at the funeral
home from 6- to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
