The Seventh Annual "Calhoun Days" will be held Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12-13 at the Calhoun County Park, located on Rt. 16 South of Grantsville.
Among the highlights are a Civil War re-enactment plus night-time cannon fire, music with live bands (lawn chairs welcome), food and refreshments, Heritage Village tours, hayrides, civil air patrol model airplane and helicopter demonstrations, FRN games and prizes, and a bouncy house.
Music acts include Chelsea Hicks, Harry Beall, Gary Richards, Blue Grass Alliance, and Sherry Wade with Karaoke, Gary Richards and friends and Eugene Stevens and friends.
Visit the Civil War camps and meet the re-enactors at their new locations in the park.

4:00 p.m. - Flag Ceremony - The Roane-Calhoun VFW Post 5959 in Grantsville will hold a Flag Retirement Ceremony During Calhoun Days at the County Park on September 13th at 4:00 p.m, with the assistance of Boy Scout Troop 346.
Any worn or used flags needing retirement may be dropped in the Flag Mail Box at VFW Post on Mill Street or brought to park that day. All are
invited to come and take part.
