RELAY FOR LIFE APPRECIATION
Calhoun County Music Festival
A unbelievable night at the first Calhoun County Music Festival to benefit Relay For Life of Calhoun County at the Calhoun County Park Barn. So many people are already asking for another one. The music was amazing and we are blown away by the talent we had Saturday night!!!!! Great Performers giving us a wide variety of music were: WV Kids on First, 3 Phaze, Aviary, Cross Fire with Chelsea Hicks, Limited Edition, and Baby Vitdoo. These bands traveled great distances and gave of their time and talents to perform for this fundraiser. We could not have asked for better music, we wish it could have lasted longer.
We hope you find and "Like" their Facebook Pages and watch for upcoming shows to go see them again.
Our gate admission was by free will donation and we thank everyone for giving so much.
Everyone who came enjoyed a Hot Dog Dinner and delicious baked goods for their supper and thanks to you, we sold out of most of the food.
There was a Silent Auction Raffle with baskets filled with goodies and homemade baked goods too. To help earn a few extra donations, there was a 50-/50 drawing and t-shirts with messages around fighting cancer.
There were over 12-beautiful Antique Cars & Trucks in the Car Show. We asked the owners if we could do a People's Choice Award and they were more than happy to help.
The People's Choice Award was selected by monetary donations. And the winner was Larry Stull with his nice Red 1984 GMC Truck.
It was wonderful to see some cousins, former baby sitters, and lots and lots of friends. We are humbled by such a good turn-out all night long.
A very special Thank you to all of the volunteers who worked behind-the-scenes through donations of baked goods, silent auction raffle items, and working the event.
Barb, Carlene, Shannon, Pam, Billy, Teddy, Katie, Sandy, Debbie, Loren, Betty, Kristen, Holly, Shirley, and many others who helped.
We also would like to thank Blind Beagle Audio for providing excellent sound for this event along with Miss Mariah Taylor.
