ELKINS STABBING - A man is on the loose after apparently stabbing another man in the arm, according to Elkins Police.
50-year-old Michael Haderman Sr. was flown to Ruby after suffering severe injuries to his arm.
Authorities were called to a home just before 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. The victim said he heard a knock at the door and went to see who it was. When he opened the door, Haderman told police he was immediately attacked with what he claims was a red wrench.
Haderman apparently stumbled back and tried to defend himself with a samurai sword, but the suspect grabbed the weapon and stabbed Haderman in the arm, hitting his brachial artery.
The suspect fled the scene.
