Pastor John Edward Zehm, 79, of Beaufort, SC, formerly of Millstone, husband of Janet Murdayne Martin Zehm, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will take place on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 10:30 am at Carl Anderson Memorial Chapel followed by interment at Beaufort National Cemetery with military honors.
Pastor John was born in Keno, Ohio on August 18, 1935 to the late Fredrick Zehm and Beulah Mercer Zehm.
Pastor John attended Calhoun Hugh School and served our country in the United States Air Force. He was a master carpenter and established The Pentecostal Church of Beaufort in 1973 and was a pastor there for 20 years.
In addition to his wife, Murdayne, he is survived by one son, John Mark Zehm; two daughters, Rebecca E. Garvin and Tami Smith; four brothers, Robert (Roberta), Larry (Evelyn), Walter (Carol), and Roger (Wanda); two sisters, Carolyn (Tom) and Patsy (David); seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Ted Zehm. |
