HUNTINGTON SHOOTING - Huntington police are investigating a shooting where one woman was shot in the foot and five children were sent scrambling for their lives.
Huntington police chief Joe Ciccarelli said the target of the shooting was Kwon Wells, 26, who was arrested in the home on an unrelated circuit court indictment.
Police said the shooter fired at least 11 shots through the walls at the home under both front windows, attempting to hit people lying in bed inside the home.
One woman who was inside at the time said five children, and three adults were in the line of that gunfire. She said it was a miracle only one person was hit.
Neighbors said the shooting was drug related.
Huntington police said they don't have a description of the shooter, or shooters, yet and they're relying on tips from the public to bring them in.
