Earl Ralph Minney, Jr., 71 years of age and a resident of Lagrange, passed away Thursday July 9, 2015 at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake following a long illness.
Earl was born November 29, 1943 in Grantsville, W. Va. where he was raised.
He had lived for over 50 years in the Elyria, Ohio area.
He was employed as a Maintenance Electrician at Ford Motor Co. in Avon Lake for over 40 years. He was a graduate of Calhoun Co. High School in W.Va. He was a partner, with his son Don, at Don's Auto and Truck Service. His hobbies included gardening, working on cars, and maintaining his rental properties.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Sandra (nee Jones); two sons Don (Marsha) Minney, and Dave (Chris) Minney both of Lagrange; three sisters Virgie Harris, Marguerite Stump both of Grantsville, W.Va., and Verla (Rex) Simon of Medina OH; five grandchildren Camryn and Caitlyn Minney, Tony, Misty, and Destiny Tyree; and three great grandchildren Edward and Addison Tyree, and Chloe Squire.
He was preceded in death by a brother Harry Oren Minney and by his parents Earl Sr. and Sylvia (nee Campbell) Minney.
Friends may call , 327 Cleveland St., Elyria, Ohio on Sunday July 12, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Funeral services were held at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, Elyria, Ohio on Monday July 13 with Pastor Rick Young of Liberty Baptist Church officiating. Burial was at Brookdale Cemetery.
