| PARKERSBURG SHOOTING - Parkersburg police say 55-year old Rocky Parsons died Sunday night from a gun shot wound through his neck and head.
Officers say they found the home's owner in possession of a shotgun.
An eyewitness account said the victim grabbed hold of the gun when it went off.
No charges have been filed at this time.
Police say they found drugs at the scene.
Officers called EMS to the scene when they arrived.
"The victim of the gunshot wound was unable to be resuscitated and died at the scene at that point. We immediately started a homicide investigation at that point. And we are currently, as we speak, still trying to gather information and more facts to determine what truly happened tonight." said Parkersburg Police Chief Joe Martin.
