| Lawrence "Bud" Parks, 80, of Big Bend, WV passed away on July 10, 2015 following a brief illness at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, WV.
Bud was born in Calhoun County, WV on August 29, 1934, a son of the late Oren and Maxine Wilson Parks.
Bud leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Betty Jo Blair Parks; a daughter, Sherry Ashton of Toledo OH; 3 grandchildren, Tara Rogers of Toledo, Jason Good of Munday WV, and Kyle Good of Munday; and 4 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Kathryn Walker of Big Bend, Donna Newell of Munday, Marie Blair of Big Bend, and Betty Walker of Munday.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a daughter, Terry Parks; brother, Dale Parks; and sister, Joan Jordan.
A graveside funeral service will be held at Big Bend Cemetery on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow in Big Bend Cemetery. Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, is assisting the Parks family with the service arrangements. |
