| Dr. David Tupper, who was hired as the new principal of Calhoun Middle-High School by the Calhoun Board of Education, issued a resignation before starting the position.
Dr. Tupper was to replace CM/HS principal Kelli Whytsell who was hired as the Assistant Superintendent of Calhoun Schools, with assistant CM/HS principal Curtis Garretson also moving to the central office.
He has been named new principal for Wirt County Middle School.
Dr. Tupper, a New York native, had been principal of Bruceton Elementary School in Preston County and resides in Roane County.
He had previously been the principal of Roane County High School for several years.
The board has posted job openings for principal and assistant principal for Calhoun Middle/High School, and there is an apparent vacancy for principal at Arnoldsburg Elementary, that principal also moving to the central office. |
