Ada Madeline West, 87, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Monday, July 6, 2015, at the Roane General Hospital, Spencer.
She was born November 20, 1927 at Spencer, a daughter of the late James D. and Nancy Brannon Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Lewis Dayton West on February 8, 2013; brother, Carmie Smith; half-brother, Vanus Miller and an infant brother, Delmar Smith; sisters, Macel Griffith, Lenore West and Thelma Griffith.
Mrs. West was a homemaker. She was a member of the Rush Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Angala West; granddaughter, Amanda Jo West; grandson, Bradley Kent West; brothers, James Chester Smith and Mayford Cleo Smith; sister, Dorma West all of Spencer.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 13 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Swank Cemetery, Speed. Friends may call one hour before the service.
