| George W. Cox Jr. 67, of Elizabeth West Virginia, passed away at Parkersburg Care and Rehab after an extended illness.
He was born December 3, 1947, in Gilbert WV, the son of the late George Cox Sr.
George was an owner/operator truck driver for over 45 years.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on the family farm and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debbie Cox; 2 children, Bethani Cox and G.W. Cox III and his his fiancée Devon; grandchildren, Morgan Sherman and her husband Cole, and Tanner George Cox; mother-in-law, Betty Hanshaw; sister-in-law, Belinda Bias and her husband Jack; and brother-in-law JR Hanshaw; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his best buddies, Griz and Whiskey.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his father-in- law Euell Hanshaw; uncles, Roy Cox, Russell Cox, Okie Cox; aunts, Bessie Bell, Irma Howell and Belva Snider.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday July 6, 2015 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV with Pastor Jeff Dorton officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the Service on Monday July 6.
