Grantsville Farmers Market will open for the first time this season
Thursday, July 2nd at Wayne Underwood Field Pavilion with selling officially beginning at 10:00 a.m.
However, before sells can begin, the Market needs vendors. This year, the Market is welcoming vendors of various products to come out and join them in attracting a crowd and providing some great local (within 50 miles) products.
Vendors may include producers of any of the following: fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, ornamental produce, potted plants, bedding plants, wool fleeces, hay/straw, homemade soaps and other various personal products, and crafts. Honey, maple syrup, eggs, baked goods, jams/preserves, poultry, red meat, and fish are also acceptable as long as all US Department of Agriculture paperwork has been filed and the products are properly labeled.
The Market will run every Thursday (thru mid-August) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Vendor dues to set-up for the entire season are $20; however, single-day set-ups are allowed for a $5 fee. Once a single-day vendor sets-up four times ($20) their season dues are considered paid!
If you are interested in becoming a vendor or simply want more information on the Market, please contact Wayne Cottrell, Market Manager, at (304)462-5104.
