A Calhoun bus driver discovered an electric line and pole down at the Hur intersection about 7 a.m. Wednesday, with a vehicle over the hill.
The Grantsville VFD and Minnie Hamilton EMS were dispatched to the scene.
The crash between a car and the pole or the pole's guideline likely happened about 3 a.m. with a local power disruption, the line was down on top of a Frontier phone cable.
The power company had been in the area early this morning, but electric service was still off to some customers.
Sheriff Carl Ballengee said the driver left the area after the crash, the vehicle is registered to a Nebo, Clay County resident. |
