| STAND-OFF IN PT. PLEASANT - Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a standoff in Point Pleasant, including the State Police's Special Response Team.
It all started at about 2:00 p.m., Saturday, when the Mason County Sheriff says they were serving a mental health petition to the homeowner when she began to resist and shot at them.
The incident ended peacefully late Saturday with the woman being taken to the hospital.
They evacuated neighboring homes to ensure homeowners' safety.
Neighbors say they heard yelling and several gun shots come from the house when it happened.
Family members of the homeowner say she has had mental health issues in the past.
