Clyde Dewain Harris Sr. 67, of Mechanicsville Va, formerly of Elizabeth WV, went to be with the Lord June 10, 2015.
He is preceded in death by both parents, Harley and Sarah Harris, one brother "Ronnie" Harris and one infant sister, Louise Harris.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Charlene Mace Harris; his children, Susan Harris Byers, Jackie Harris Johnson (Joseph), Sarah Harris Dunford (Adam), and Clyde Harris Jr. (Retta); grandchildren, Joshua Johnson(Katelyn), Miranda Robinson, Justin Johnson, Douglas Byers (Jessica), Natasha Harris, Sarah Harris, Jess Dunford, Clyde Dewain Harris III; one great granddaughter, Brooklyn Johnson; brothers and sisters, Eddie, Donald, Harley Gail and Bernard Harris, Bonnie Lemley and Carol Wine.
He will forever be remembered as a giving and loving husband, father, and grandpa. He was a hardworking and devoted man. A member of Life Church in Mechanicsville, Va. and a child of God.
Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday June 13, 2015 at Calvary Apostolic Church of Elizabeth WV, with the Rev. Glen McBride and Rev. Tim Hopkins officiating. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday June 12, 2015 at Calvary Apostolic Church. Interment will be at K of P Cemetery of Elizabeth WV. Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV are honored to be assisting the family.
