A Paden City woman who was reportedly living in fear of a man who was stalking her, saw a man she may have thought was him. She shot and killed Kevin "Casey" Thompson outside the house in what was termed a "senseless" killing.
"The bullet wasn't meant for him. It was meant for another guy," said David Jacobs, a friend of Thompson.
Another man was reportedly who Jessica Dawn Quinn, 36, had a protection order against, because he was stalking her.
When Kevin Thompson arrived to deliver firewood to the woman's house is when the shooting happened, a case of mistaken identity.
Quinn's fiance had arranged for the load of firewood to be delivered, but apparently she was not aware of it.
Quinn remains in the Northern Regional Jail, charged with 1st degree murder
