| John William Yoak, 76, of Smithville, WV, departed this earthly world on June 7, 2015, with his family by his side.
John was born on October 21, 1938, in Calhoun Co., WV, a son of the late Alva and Beatrice Richards Yoak. He graduated from Calhoun County High School in 1957. He retired from Buckeye Oil, as a well tender and compressor station operator.
John leaves behind his wife Norma; four children, Danny Yoak, Brenda Ackley, Angela Yoak, and Joseph Yoak; a brother, Milford Yoak; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, his daughter, Cassie Leola Yoak and a special friend, Viola "Midge" Dye.
Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, WV, on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Carroll McCauley officiating. Interment will be in Norman Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday. |
