| Gracie Ellen Ayers, 67, of Smithville WV, died May 19, 2015 at Pine View Continuous Care, Harrisville WV.
She was born August 31, 1947 on Leading Creek, Rd., Calhoun County, WV, the daughter of the late Pearl and Stella Mae Wilcox Jones.
Gracie had worked as a manager at Valley View Sports, Smithville and later as a caregiver for Ritchie County Family Services. She loved sewing, gardening, shopping and listening to Elvis. She liked to collect trolls.
She is survived by her children, Allen Dean Ayers II (Melissa Kay) of Smithville, Anthony Charles Ayers (Mallory H.) of Oxford, Melissa Dawn Ayers of Smithville, Heather Michelle Ayers-Sharp (Dan) of Park Rapids MN and Christopher Ryan Ayers (Tristan) of Pondsford MN; brothers, Lester Jones of Big Springs, Max Jones of Leading Creek, Danny Jones and Hersel Jones both of Big Springs; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers James "Bub" Jones and Ivan Jones and sisters, Maxine Goodnight, Betty Able and Ada Billy.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Raiguel Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Hardbarger officiating. Burial will follow in the Goodnight Cemetery, Macfarlan. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 11-2 PM. |
