| Irene Pickens Jenkins, 96, formerly Spencer, of Lawrenceville, Ga. (formerly of Parkersburg, W.Va.) went home to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, on May 18, 2015.
She was born Aug. 13, 1918, in Spencer, W.Va., to Reuben and Nellie Sparr Pickens.
Irene has been living with her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Stephen Miller, for the past eight years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Okey S. Jenkins; four sisters, Beryl Conant, Beulah Reynolds, Madeline Robinson Anderson and Elizabeth Johnson.
Irene is survived by daughter, Janet Lee Miller and son-in-law, L. Stephen Miller; two sisters, Leona "Brownie" Moore and Frances Boone; brother, Gene Pickens; granddaughter, Tonya Tindel; grandson, Scott Alan Miller;and great-grandsons Travis Miller Burchfield and Bryce Alan Miller.
Memorial Celebration of Life service will be held in Lawrenceville, Ga. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Parkersburg, WV. |
