UPDATE: GILMER WOMAN VIOLENTLY ASSAULTS VICTIM FOR 45 MINUTES - Other Gilmer Residents Charged, Clay Man Charged With Assault On Officer, Drug Charges

A Gilmer County woman was arrested for malicious assault and unlawful restraint after inviting another woman to her apartment and holding her there while she continually assaulted her.

Glenville police say Brittney Nickeson, 22, invited the victim to her apartment, then began yelling at her and attacking her physically.

The victim was allegedly kicked in the back approximately 100 times, kicked in the back of the head twice and punched in the face and arms numerous times, according to the complaint.

Nickeson also tried banging the victim's head off a coffee table and attempted to put her head in the toilet, says the report.

Police said she also ripped out a portion of the victim's hair.

Every time the victim tried to leave, Nickeson allegedly blocked the door and continued to hit her for about 45 minutes.

Police said two other individuals were in the house, watched the assault happen and did nothing about it, part of the incident was witnessed by a neighbor.

Others charged, Michael David Gherke, 20, and Lisa Marie Hupp, 20, are in Central Regional Jail, charged with accessory before and after the fact, conspiracy and conspiracy to commit a felony.

A Clay man is in Central Regional Jail charged with multi-drug counts, including possession with intent to deliver schedule 2 controlled substances.

Christopher David Pritt, 31, is also charged with assault 1st, battery of an officer and obstructing police attempting to flee.

Bond is set at $44,000.
