Doretta "Betty" R. Billeter, 91, of Paden City, WV died Monday, May 4, 2015 at her home.
"Betty" was born September 2, 1923 in New Martinsville, WV daughter of the late Virgil and Iva (Snodgrass) Blatt.
She was a retired employee of Corning Glass, member of American Legion Auxiliary Paden City Unit 86, Paden City Garden Club, former Paden City Women's Club, past Board member of the Paden City Museum, past member of Paden City Boosters and member of Pursley Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Billeter (2007); two sons, Jim Blatt and David Billeter; three brothers, Wilbert Blatt, Tom Blatt and Bob Blatt and two sisters, Mary Kidder and Dreva Harris.
Surviving are her daughter, Ilene Harlan of Paden City, WV; three sons, Joseph Billeter of Melbourne, FL, Glen Tarbertt and Steve Billeter both of Paden City, WV; two brothers, Ernie (Dorothy) Blatt and Frank Blatt both of Paden City, WV; four sisters, Lena (Gene) Smith of New Martinsville, WV, Melva Stroup of Grantsville, WV, Phyllis Sonneberger of Akron, OH and Bonnie Hizer of Paden City, WV; thirteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; great grand puppy, Taylor and several nieces and nephews.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City where service will be held 1 p.m., Friday, May 8, 2015 with Tom Butterfield officiating.
American Legion Auxiliary Paden City Unit 86 will conduct service at 6 p.m.
