| Anna Marie Peters, age 73, of Sutton, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord and Savior after a battle with cancer on Monday evening, April 20, 2015.
She was born October 11, 1941 in Gilmer County, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Edith Perkins Peters.
Anna worked for Glenville State College for 10 years. She was a homemaker and Methodist by faith. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, attending church and listening to Gospel music, but most of all she loved and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, 2 daughters, Karen (Jack) Jenkins of Sutton WV, Kathy Johnson (companion, Gordy) of Roane County; 1 son, Vernon Peters of Burnsville, WV; 4 grandsons, Cody (Mara) Heater of Gassaway WV, Lewis Heater of Burnsville WV, Dylan Newlon of Sutton and Brandon Johnson of Roane County; 2 granddaughters, Chelsie (Brad) Smallwood of Little Birch WV and Emily Peters of Ireland WV; 1 great-grandson, Bentley Heater of Gassaway WV; 1 sister, Alice (Jack) Cottrell of Calhoun County; 2 brothers, Paul Jr. (Greta) Peters and John D. (Kay) Peters of Normantown WV; several nieces and nephews and lots of other family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Mae Peters, and nephew, Travis Peters.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc. 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351, at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2015 with Pastor Randy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Snyder Cemetery, Glenville, WV. Friends may call 5-8 p.m., Thursday evening at the mortuary.
