| Gary P. Thomas, 65 of Elizabeth WV, formerly of Charleston WV went home to be with the Lord on April 15, 2015.
Gary retired from Kanawha County Schools and was a member of Snyder Chapel Church where he was blessed to have lead Sunday Service. Gary enjoyed spending time with family and his close friends, he was a light to all those who knew him.
He leaves behind his wife, Loretta Thomas; 2 daughters, Lisa and Vernon Carpenter of Sissonville WV and Annette and Roger Reed of Nitro WV; brother, Ronald and Helen Thomas of Charleston WV; grandchildren, Lance and Alisha Ashby of Irmo SC, Ryan and Kelsey Ashby of Irmo SC, Caleb and Danielle McNeely of Fraziers Bottom WV, Tristan Hinchan of Nitro WV, Savanna Reed of Nitro, Emily Reed of Nitro, Justin and Lacey Carpenter of Sissonville WV; great grandchildren, Madison McNeely, Elliot Ashby, Harper Ashby, Arianna McNeely and Eli Carpenter; many nieces and nephews he loved dearly;
special friends, Cecil, Chris and Bub Griffin, Brian Hall and family, and Dean and Melanie Wine all of Elizabeth.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leaner Thomas and Bonnie Harper Thomas.
Services will be Saturday April 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV with Rev. Farley Blankenship officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service on Saturday.
Burial will be at Ruble Church Cemetery.
