William C. "Bill" Moss, 79, of Newton, West Virginia, died Sunday, April 5, 2015, at the CAMC-Memorial Hospital, Charleston.
He was born October 20, 1938, at Charleston, a son of the late Orville and Grace Keen Moss.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Rex, Forest and Brooks Moss; three sisters, Maxine Totten, Eileen Griffith and Anna Hope.
Bill was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 625, Charleston. He was a 50 year member and Past Master of the Linden Lodge No. 83, A.F. & A.M. Also, he was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary E. Short Moss, whom he married November 20, 1962; daughter, Marilou Legg of Wallback WV; son, Wm. David Moss of Newcomerstown OH; two grandchildren, Cyndi Burdeynyy of Virginia Beach VA and Nathan Lee Legg of Valley Fork WV; a step granddaughter, Gina Gibbs; two great grandchildren, Carson Legg and Annahbella Legg; two step great grandchildren, Kaden Gibbs and Anna Gibbs.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 9 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Darius Walker officiating. Burial with Masonic graveside rites and Military Honors will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
