The $2 million West Virginia's indigent burial fund is broke for a third year before the end of the fiscal year.
The $1,250 benefit has been tapped too many times by citizens who have no money for their disposition, burial or cremation.
State Department of Health and Human Resources spokeswoman Allison Adler says the $2 million fund was depleted by March 3.
Funds will be available again when the new fiscal year begins July 1.
