KANAWHA MAN STABS FATHER -- A Cross Lanes man was arrested after he allegedly stabbed his father because he was locked out of the house.
Timothy Coleman, 46, of Cross Lanes, was charged with malicious wounding, according to the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.
The incident happened at 3 a.m. Sunday.
Deputies say Coleman had been fighting with his 77-year-old father over the fact that the door was locked, preventing Coleman from getting into the residence.
The report says that Coleman then allegedly tried to force his way into the home but his father tried to use a knife to stop his attack.
The father then suffered cuts to his head and face by his son.
Both were taken to the hospital.
Coleman was charged him with malicious wounding.
