| MAN SHOOTS AT OFFICER - A suspect who shot at a Smither police officer was alluding authorities Sunday.
The pursuit started on the Fayette-Kanawha County line when a Smithers police officer made a traffic stop, the man sped away from the officer, but crashed his vehicle on and fled into the woods on foot.
The officer was not hit, and no one was injured.
The man was stopped, reportedly in relation to a robbery.
MORGANTOWN ROBBERY - a man is on the loose after a reported armed robbery in Morgantown early Saturday morning.
According to a press release from the Morgantown Police Department, it happened at 2:30 a.m. at a Dairy Mart.
The clerk told police that a male, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, allegedly approached her and demanded money.
The suspect was apparently armed with a knife and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
