Dorothy Pearl Clowser, 79, of Gaffney, SC passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at her residence.
She was born March 30, 1935 in Rosie Rock, WV, a daughter of the late John and Emma Henry Burkhart. Mrs. Clowser was a Baptist by faith. She enjoyed sewing.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Burton Lee Clowser, Sr., in addition to her parents.
She is survived by her five sons, Michael Lee Clowser of Springfield, Ohio, Burton Clowser, Jr. and wife, Carla of Gaffney, Anthony Wayne clowser, Sr. of Stow, Ohio, Clifford Robert Clowser and wife, Mary of Spencer, WV, and James Clowser of Gaffney; a daughter, Rosanna Dengate and husband, Larry of Gaffney; two brothers, Harold Burkhart of Hartsville, Ohio and Paul Burkhart of Canton, Ohio; a sister, Linda Cromer and husband, Tom of West Salem, Ohio; sixteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 12:00-noon Friday, February 20 at Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg. Rev. Jack Roberts will officiate. Interment will be in the Swindler Cemetery on Egypt Ridge Rd. in Spencer. Friends and family may call at Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
