Millstone resident Joseph Paul Kute, 32, waived malicious assault charges filed against him to Calhoun Circuit Court during a hearing Friday before Calhoun Magistrate Teresa Robinson.
The charges were filed against him last June by the West Virginia State Police.
Authorities said they have been looking for Kute for several months, and recently picked him up after he climbed on the roof of a house with a dynamite cap in his mouth.
Cpl. J. B. Hunt investigated an incident last June that resulted in charges against Kute for malicious assault and battery.
Police responded to a physical confrontation at the Arnoldsburg "Y," alleged victims Johnny Capps and Geoffrey Shaffer said they had been dropped off at the location by their employer, according to the complaint.
The men told officers that Kute passed the area in a car and turned around, coming back to the location, at which time Kute pushed Shaffer to the pavement.
The complaint says that Kute obtained a long metallic object, striking Capps on the head, the officers confirmed Capps was injured.
Shaffer, according to the complaint, had injuries to his arm and back.
Kute is also facing Clay County charges for nighttime burglary and domestic battery.
Bond for the Calhoun charges is $40,000 with bond at $50,000 on the Clay charges.
