BIG CHIMNEY STABBING - A Big Chimney man
Thomas Fluty Jr.,59, has been arrested and charged with murder for allegedly stabbing a man to death Wednesday night, said the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office.
Fluty is in South Central Regional Jail with no bail set after allegedly killing Benny Anderson, 59.
Anderson had been staying at Fluty's home in Big Chimney, where the stabbing reportedly occurred.
Anderson had multiple stab wounds and was declared dead at the scene.
Police said the men had been arguing before the alleged murder.
PHARMACIST FATALLY SHOOTS MAN DURING HOLD-UP -
The Kanawha Sheriffs Department says a pharmacist at Pinch, Kanawha County, foiled a robbery by shooting and fatally wounding the suspect.
Investigators say Terry Gillenwater, 25, was shot and killed, Gillenwater have an extensive criminal history.
Deputies were called to Good's Pharmacy Wednesday morning after a robbery suspect was shot by the pharmacist,
the suspect pointed the gun at workers and the pharmacist on duty.
The suspect was taken to CAMC General Hospital, where he died.
Based on interviews and video evidence, the sheriff's office said charges will not be filed against the pharmacist. The investigation has been handed over to the county prosecutor.
WYOMING STABBING DEATH - A Wyoming County death is under investigation, with
Oceana police saying a man was stabbed and killed at at his residence about 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Later in the day police arrested Michael Hoosier in connection with the death. The name of the victim was not immediately released.
SHARP TEETH - It was not a knife or gun, but sharp teeth.
Deputies from the Marion County Sheriff's Department have arrested a man for allegedly biting off another man's ear.
Authorities said Eric Vangilder, 44, bit off Allen Wisenbaler's ear during a fight at the Copper House last Saturday night.
Surveillance video shows that Wisenbaler started the fight, which continued outside, where the biting is said to have happened.
Deputies say the ear was found by the cigarette stand outside.
Vangilder is charged with malicious wounding.
Wisenbaler is charged with battery.
DRIVE-BY SHOOTING - Elkins City Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that happened Tuesday evening in Randolph County.
The shooting happened just after 8 p.m. near a McDonald's in Elkins.
Emanuel N. Martinez and Juan Sanchez Garcia were arrested. Martinez allegedly attempted to kill a woman while Garcia is accused of driving the get away car.
According to 911 dispatchers, shell casings were found at the scene, and the shooter in question fled from the scene in a car.
Police have now arrested suspects.
