Come dance at Heartwood this Spring.
Boys and girls, ages 10 through teens, wishing to learn to dance and perform are invited to join Heartwood in the Hills' Performing Arts Program.

Enrollment is now open for the Heartwood in the Hills Spring Program of classes which will run March 7 - June 5 and conclude with a public performance by the Spring Performing Arts Program students.
During the 12 week session, classes offered will include dance, movement, art and maskmaking for ages 5 through seniors. The program will begin on Saturday, March 7, with an orientation and meeting for incoming Performing Arts Program students and their parents or guardians from 2 to 4 p.m. at Heartwood.
Classes will begin the week of Monday, March 9. Below is the schedule of classes offered along with fees. Class fees are affordable and financial assistance is available for qualifying families.
MONDAY - Performing Arts Program Theatre Dance - Ages 10 and up. Preparation for work on the stage. This is one of two required classes for the Performing Arts Program. 5:00-6:30 p.m. Fee $70.00. Instructor Jude Binder.

TUESDAY - Young Artists - Let's Draw! - Ages 10 and up. Students will draw and study the drawings of established artists, focusing on line, light and shadow. The goal of the class will be the enhancement of drawing skills, observation, attention and practice. Various drawing materials will be used including pencil, charcoal, pen & ink and pastels. 4:45-6:00 p.m. Fee $70.00 plus $10.00 materials fee. Instructor Jude Binder. - Ballet - Teens, Adults and Seniors. Previous Ballet experience required. 6:30-8:15 p.m. Fee $80.00. Instructor Jude Binder.
WEDNESDAY - Performing Arts Program Introduction to Ballet - Ages 10 and up. Introduction to basic principles of Classical Ballet. This is one of two required classes for the Performing Arts Program.
5:00-6:30 p.m. Fee $70.00 Instructor Haley Archer. - Introduction to Movement for Health and Centering - Adults and teens. Learn to move comfortably. Movement for Health and Centering combines rhythmic, meditative and aerobic movement sequences with anatomical analysis to achieve a general upgrading of the body and an increased sense of well being. Previous dance experience not required. 7:00-8:30 p.m. Fee $80.00. Instructor Jude Binder.
THURSDAY - What Is Dance? - Ages 8 and up. An hour of dancing, shapes, and rhythm. Includes art work, singing, and creative dramatics. 4:45-5:45 p.m. Fee $60.00. Instructor Jude Binder.
Thursday Dance Class - Teens, adults and seniors. Modern, Caribbean, Ballet, International Folk Dance. 6:30-8:15 p.m. Fee $80.00.
FRIDAY - Creative Arts for Children- Ages 5 and up. Singing, dancing, art projects, reading, creative dramatics, masks, international folk dance, conservation education. 4:45-5:45 p.m. Fee $60.00 plus $10.00 materials fee. Instructor Jude Binder. The first Creative Arts for Children's class will be held on Friday, March 20. - Maskmaking - Ages 14 and up. Students will be guided through the process of creating tarlatan masks as seen in Heartwood productions. 6:30-8:30 p.m. Fee $85.00 plus $15.00 materials fee. Instructor Jude Binder. The first Maskmaking class will be held on Friday, March 20.
