Calhoun came out flat Monday night and the
result was a not-so-pretty 69-54 loss to the
visiting Doddridge Bulldogs.
The Red Devils struggled to find much offense
in the first three quarters and as a result
trailed by a sizable 26-point margin heading
into the final period where the Calhoun
reserves were able to make the final score
respectable against the Doddridge reserves.
Dakota Jarvis came off the bench to score 13
points and lead the way for the 7-10 Red
Devils, He was backed by Ethyn Miller with 10
and Dylan Heiney with 19. Team leading scorer
Tyler Sims was next with nine points. He was
backed by Lucas Wilson by five while Sam Brady,
Luke Sheldon and Zack Yanero each scored two.
Tyler Gerwig, William Baker and Austin Gribble
all played but did not score.
Doddridge, 11-6, was led by Brandon Davis with
25. Tim Shepherd was next with 10 while Drew
Lett added nine.
There was no junior varsity game.
Doddridge returns to action tonight against
Braxton County while Calhoun is off until
Thursday night when it is it Ritchie County.
