Rev. Keith Belt filled his regular appointment at the Burning Springs M. E. Church and served Holy Communion. Rev. Belt, like many others was upset that the Big Eared One talked about "Christians riding on their high horses, the Crusades, slavery, etc." Apparently Dear Leader is unaware that Christians worked to end slavery and Muslim terrorists practice slavery at present & the Crusades were a result of Muslim savages invading the Holy Land and killing Jews & Christians. Perhaps the faithful should all practice up on that old favorite hymn, "Onward Christian Soldiers".
The bridge crew has placed signs and lights to indicate that they are going to patch the hole in the Creston bridge. It was noted that there is no sign at the top of the hill so big trucks going west may get an unpleasant surprise when they get to the bottom of the hill and are forced quickly to stop.K
A big crowd was on hand Friday evening for the Creston auction. The next one will be Friday, March 6, starting at 6 P. M.

The Starship Enterprise recently dropped out of warp & assumed standard synchronous orbit above the Newark sector and Cap'n & Mrs. Spock beamed to the surface to call on Matt, Rachael & John Henry Jarvis, Linda & Tim. Being a Ford enthusiast, Matt has been drafted into the Starfleet, commissioned to the rank of Cap'n & assigned the command of his own Galaxy Class Starship, the Enterprise M based at the Summers Ridge Space Dock. Spock was given the grand tour of Engineering "where Scotty lives". It is anticipated that the Enterprise M will perform surveillance along the Romulan Neutral Zone border near the Wirt Quadrant for the immediate future.
Charles Russell was calling on Mr. & Mrs. Paris Parsons, Ray Gumm and brother Euell at the Miletree Center. Edith Kittle's roommate is reported to be a patient in a Charleston hospital.
The Global Warming/Climate change people continue to take offense whenever anyone calls them to task because "in their religion it is settled science" just like the phlogiston theory was settled science until proved to be patently false. Someone reviewed historical temperature reports for South America and found that the federal agencies had "adjusted" the numbers changing a cooling trend to warming. Those involved were the National Climate Data Center, Goddard Institute for Space Studies and Global Historical Climate Network. The fudged numbers were then used for extrapolation to places where there are no thermometers. Also found was manipulation of temperatures in the Arctic region which, among others things "disappeared Iceland's sea ice years around 1970 when a severe cooling almost devastated Iceland's economy". Also it was noted that an area of Arctic ice that was studied was determined to be controlled by Atlantic Ocean currents and 75 years ago the ice receded much more than has the current situation which has been used as cause for alarm. That is to say the melting was caused by ocean currents, not the ambient temperature.
Gov. Earl Ray and the W. Va. Oil & Natural Gas Association had a big natural gas vehicle conference planned but, for some reason, had to cancel or postpone the event.
Travelers in Ohio report that there are signs there asking that Common Core, the federal program (advertised as promoted by some gullible governors who were used) that dumbs down education even more be stopped noting that the children deserve better. For certain chemists, physicists, engineers of all stripes, surveyors and other skilled people would have to take remedial math before they could enter academic facilities to succeed in the modern world. Obviously, the educrats in West Virginia & the ruling oligarchy do not want an educated populace for fear of being run out of town by irate citizens who have learned how they have been treated, robbed and abused. As a good example older residents remember when W. Va. had 6 members in the U. S. House of Representatives and now we have 3 and next census there will be only two (2).
The revision to the tank bill has been introduced in the Legislature and some claim that only 90 tanks will be left to "regulate". However the DEP has announced fees and rules for the thousands of tanks covered by the little Unger boy's ill conceived "tank law".
A number of area residents attended the Taste of West Virginia reception for members of the West Virginia legislature sponsored by the W. Va. Forestry Association and the W. Va. Farm Bureau. Because the state senate worked late many state senators were not able to attend. It is generally felt by all, regardless of their political proclivities, that the legislature this time is actually doing things, studying bills, etc. instead of waiting to do "it all" the last night when, as everyone knows, bad things happen and the big boys get their way. Speaking of the big boys, some feel that coal slickster Jim Justice is the force behind the new head rabbit cop's desire to import elk into West Virginia so one can hit them with automobiles, etc. It was learned that Earl Ray signed into law the repeal of Broadway Joe's "Cap & Trade Law" that he had the legislature pass to give him 'green weenie' credits with the Big Eared One & Madame Hillary who might need a VP or a cabinet secretary.
Gasoline prices continue to come back up while talk continues over the slowdown of new drilling and related work. Some local contractors are reported to "be in a world of hurt" as they did not anticipate a 'speed bump' in the drilling and production boom. The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude is $50.69/bbl. with drip fetching $26.69, Marcellus & Utica light $44.69 and medium $50.69/bbl.
