In 1896 Dan McCune was brought before Squire G.W. Ritchea by Constable John Sickles in Grantsville for selling spiritous liquors without a state license.
The poverty stricken McCune, obviously wanting to be put in jail said, "I have been a burden to my friends for some time and have no means of support, and I can prove that I have not been blessed with any of this world's goods for a long time." |
