| James H. "Big Junior" Self age 65 of Fletcher, Oklahoma, departed this life Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in Lawton, Oklahoma .
James was born November 16, 1949 in Gilmer County, West Virginia to Holland and Velda Self.
He served his country in the United States Army from 1968 until being honorably discharged in 1972. He was a roofer, bricklayer, and avid hunter. James was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue Lytle Self of the home; 1 granddaughter, Maggie Waddel, of the home; 2 sons, Mike Lydens of Oklahoma City and Eddie Ryan of West Virginia; 3 daughters, Jamie Post of West Virginia, Carolyn Enriquez and Joni Ryan, both of Lawton; 2 brothers, Danny and Dennis Self, both of West Virginia; 2 sisters, Kathleen Thompson and Dolly Waggy, both of West Virginia; 2 special nephews that he thought of as his sons, Charlie Lytle and Chris Alexander; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Holland and Velda Self and 1 sister, Carolyn Self.
Funeral Services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc. at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday February 10, 2015 with Pastor David Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Self Family Cemetery, also on Turkey Fork. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Monday February 9, 2015 at the mortuary.
