A Lewis County glass factory plans to
layoff 150 workers but the
company says the layoffs are temporary.
Cuts at Glass Works in Weston will leave
more than 150 workers without a job for
months.
Only two months ago, GlassWorks
announced a new product line to ease the
company out of bankruptcy.
The new line was supposed to create 60 new jobs
over the next two years...but now, the
factory is temporarily closing and laying
off more than twice that many workers.
A company spokesman blames the move
on a lack of business. |
